Frozen Banana Bites

IMG_7024These frozen banana bites are the perfect mini dessert.  So easy to make, too!  You just have to have a little patience while they cool down in the freezer.

I used a mix of peanut butter, almond butter and nutella filling, but you could use any spread you have in your pantry or stick to your favorite.

The steps are pretty self-explanatory: slice, spread and freeze.  And if you have a little extra time and patience, you can even dip these in chocolate!

I was in a little bit of a hurry last night, so I left off the outer coating of chocolate and they were still mighty tasty.

Just slice a ripe banana into discs.

Spread almond butter, peanut butter, nutella, or your favorite spread on half of the banana discs.

Top them with another banana disc, and pop in the freezer for at least an hour (longer if possible.)

If you have the time, at this point you can take them out of the freezer, coat them with some melted chocolate and pop them back in the freezer for another hour.  If not, then they’re ready to enjoy as is!  Yummy!
