Coffee Banana Smoothie
I spent last Sunday cleaning my house, from sweeping and laundry to organizing dressers and even tidying up the garage. Mid-day I was in need of a serious pick-me-up, so decided to throw together an energizing smoothie. Usually, I’m a fruit-smoothie girl, but thought I’d switch up my routine with a coffee banana smoothie. This is a tasty little treat, super easy to whip up, and is healthy ta boot!
You probably already have all of these ingredients on hand. At first, I thought it might be weird mixing banana and coffee, but it actually tastes great and the banana helps to thicken the smoothie up. I used a fresh banana, but a frozen one would be great, too.
Coffee Banana Smoothie
Serves 1-2, depending on how thirsty you are and if you want to share 🙂
Ingredients
- 1 banana, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup almond milk (or your preferred milk)
- 1/2 cup cold coffee
- 2 teaspoons sugar or sweetener of choice
- 1 cup crushed ice
Steps
- Combine all ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth.
